(How a frame is made)

From brief to render

  1. 01

    Wire

Form is decided in lines: proportion, topology, camera and layout, before a single light is placed.

  2. 02

    Clay

Grey, matte, no textures. Silhouette, blocking and animation timing are judged in clay.

  3. 03

    Render

Materials, look-dev and the frame the world actually sees.

One studio, every pass

Leeg Studio is Mamoon Syed’s 3D product animation and CGI studio in Islamabad. We model, light, animate and render products (eyewear, audio gear, jewellery, cars, packaging) and build the characters and worlds around them.

Fine Jewellery, beauty pass

The same person who models your product lights it, animates it and signs off the final frame. No hand-offs between departments, so the idea you approved in wire is the one you get in beauty.

  • Model

Hard-surface and organic modelling from CAD, photos or sketches.

  • Animate

Camera, product motion, cloth and liquid simulation, callouts.

  • Render

Look-dev, lighting, rendering and final grade, to any aspect ratio.

Two cuts of an easyride scooter: one in a dark room, and one with feature callouts for the LED headlight, tires and 25 km range, the fold, a hook and the LED display.

The dark cut opens on the scooter on a pedestal in a symmetrical room, then orange callouts — LED headlight, puncture-proof tires and 25 km range, LED display — and closes on “Make life an easy ride.”

The brighter cut opens on easyride and the same line, then close-ups of the foldable handlebar, dual locking, hook, 8.5 inch tubeless tires, 25 km range, 14% inclines and the LED display. It returns to the scooter in a bright room and ends on a card with a small mascot.
